We landed in the Grand Canyon by helicopter, had a glass of champagne, had some snacks,  (darlings, it’s a must do) and we stopped off for extra fuel, so we could do another tour over Las Vegas on the way back.

I said to my friend, ‘Oh take a photo of me here, as if I’m dying of thirst in the desert..it’ll be funny..’  The pilot was laughing at me…

The Grand Canyon is AMAZING… So beautiful… So HOT!

When we landed, no one spoke at all. We just stood there, taking it all in. One of the most incredibly beautiful places on this Earth. And I’ve been there! I have witnessed one of the wonders of the world.

It was like…Heaven, but with lots of rocks and gravel. Hahaha.

The view from the air….I caught two wild horses on camera, I was nearly crying. I blinked it away.

It’s about time, you say! Yes…so…

Arriving in Las Vegas. It’s such a weird place, it’s like Disneyland for adults. More later…

I arrived in LAX first, and had a night in LA. We were sooo tired, but we had a little wander about our neighbourhood, Santa Monica Boulevard…and very nice too, like Elvis and Sheryl Crow says.

We stayed in a gorgeous massive appartment just off the SM boulevard, got some cute pics in their gardens too. I will stay there again one day, really lovely. Pics to come!

We woke at around 7am ish, and got on the girls roadtrip vibe, hired car, (Dollymopp, Thelma and Louise) it was supposed to be a 10hr drive from our side…we did it in 6hrs!  It was hot…

Then…I saw the famed sign, ‘Welcome To Las Vegas’ …

It was as if I’d entered an animation. Very weird.

We drove down The Strip to get to our hotel, it was colourful and loud! And…116 degrees. In the shade. Phew.

Checked in, another huge apartment, with a view of everything! And I’d like to thank God, my family, all the production team, my director etc… for aircon. Jesus, it was HOT. It is the desert, and you really do know it is. Dry heat, not like Singapore. Burning, but not sweating, funny, that.

That night, everyone arrived for the Burlesque show, and the hotel was choc full of glamorous girls in tight corsets, sweating glitter and sequins at every corner! I was wearing 50′s clamdiggers and a gingham blouse, looking like a ‘Beverly Hillbilly’! Due to my ‘connections’ I did meet the long time legends and top performers, so that was kinda cool!

The first show was happening the next night, so sleep was needed after the roadtrip.

Next night, oh, we bumped up the glamour stakes, I had a red satin dress with black velvet tattoo designs on it to wear, and a big frou frou red petticoat underneath. Red glitter flowers in my hair…(I’ll show you the cartoon drawing I have of me too)  and my friends were even more glamorous! We had the top table too, champagne on ice, it was rather fab.

The show was FABULOUS, so amazing, and everyone had a ball. The best was yet to come too. More later.

I had bookings arranged before I left UK, so the next night I was staying overnight at The Bellagio, very upmarket and glam, so I needed a dress…not like my burlesque stuff! I’m such an easy shopper…haha. First shop, 5mins, I found it. Flowery black n white chiffon prom dress style, a little black bolero jacket on top to cover tattoos, my peep toed stilettoes and a black handbag, et voila! A prim but glam Miss Dolly appeared.

He did seem rather pleased when we met…!

We went to Le Cirque and had fabulous gorgeous food and then…I’m not telling.

He did take a few pics of me in Bellagio lobby (only there, ok!) so I’ll have to put those here too.

Fast forward to…weird stuff, like escort vans with ads on. Delivering girls like pizzas. For $40. Hmmm. Men thrusting cards at you in the street. DODGY isn’t the word, is it? I imagine they are sitting in cages waiting to be delivered to some drunken stag night…

If you’re going, I’d hope you would avoid. My booking said he’s there quite often and always books a reputable indie from research. Good boy had done his research well obviously!

I didn’t go to the tattooist. I let him keep my £50 deposit too.

Of course, I don’t read the manuals, I just press all the buttons and declare ‘This is broken’ to anyone who will listen. Then wait on them to do it for me. (oh shut up, you!)

So now you won’t hear cd’s on loop, we can have playlists called ‘Sounds for Seduction’ etc.

When I first got a computer, (about 15 yrs ago) I pressed some wrong buttons and a box popped up saying,

‘You have performed an illegal operation!’  Oh my God! What have I done! I thought…

Birmingham people are a nice cheery lot, very helpful and friendly, the north of England is pretty much like Scotland, I notice that.

I went for a very simple hotel… but redecorated it ‘Dollymopp Style’ to pretty good effect, I think? I always bring my own bed decor, cushions, champagne glasses, twinkly lights, slinky red sheer fabric to cover the hotel lamps,  boys grooming products, towels, toothbrushes, everything!

This enables me to keep my bribery requests more affordable for people ‘Outside of London’ and also lets me experience more of the UK!  It seems to work well, anyways.

I met up with some friends on Saturday. One, a lovely young lady with whom I share a visitor! He introduced us online and fone, (no we haven’t been all together…and won’t be!) and as she is moving to London soon for college, it would be beneficial to her to have a big sister here? It was my birthday last Saturday, and I had a good few things planned to do, with my good pal Bacchus. So for the next few days….

We went on a ‘London Walk’ called ‘Harlots, Whores and High Society’  with www.walks.com as I love historical walks, especially around London. I have been on the ‘Jack the Ripper’ walk, twice.

I listened intently to the speakers of three houses, Louis Roederer, Pol Roger, and Bollinger.
