Oh the brilliance!

I have a funny new book, ‘The Hedonism Handbook’ by Michael Flocker.

Ages ago, the famed Banksy used to have a public blog, and myself and another lady used to have a wee chat now and again. He was quite keen on her, hehe. It was quite open to read, so I am not spilling beans here..He wasn’t as famous as he is now, and no, I don’t know what he really looks like, and even if I did, I wouldn’t tell you! I think he would do the same with us too.  Except you know what I look like..ach, you know what I mean.

So one day aeons ago, ..I was in Soho, and I saw this book ‘Wall and Piece’.

I said, ‘I have just been in Soho and I recognised your stuff on the front of a book, you never told me about this! You have a book! I bought it too.’

How cool that he never said anything, I, myself would be shrieking from the rooftops if I had a book! But then again, I am an uncool geek.

So he says, ‘I’ll buy your book too when it comes out.’

So…I thought that his dark humour would maybe appreciate my amateur *blatant advert for dollymopp* attempts at a master craft. I did plan this ages ago, but I take ages to execute plans. I have an overloaded plug socket of ideas in my head all the time, so stuff waits till I unscramble my brain, and stuff pops out when I feel like it.

A few weeks ago…I had heard of ‘the tunnel’ a legal graffiti site exhibition of street art by www.blankexpression.org a show of street artists, and a faded Banksy was there, so I hit that with my little stencil cut out pieces, me in a hoodie and jeans, 4.30 am, my spray cans, crap camera (feared my digi being mugged in the cul de sac at that time)

I didn’t want anyone watching me, I felt quite shy! I thought if another cool graffiti dude was there, he might say, oh you are rubbish! So I left my house at 4am!  

It was re done last weekend, bigger pieces, more detailed, none of that ‘just spray your name tag’ stuff, (the inane stuff you see and what makes you hate graffiti) just some amazing art instead. Really well done and thoughtful. Even painted car wrecks.

So if you are reading me Banksy, have a giggle at my themes, and watch those rats!

Famous last words last time eh?

Looking forward to catching up with my boys and  girls. You know who you are!

I am officially back on the scene now, so I must say sorry to all the people who have mailed and called me etc! You will receive an email any day now! Got a lot of catching up to do…eek. I wasn’t ignoring you!

I was offline too, connection probs, just to add insult to injury.

Instead of explaining all in each mail (I wouldn’t ’round robin’ a mass mail as it means indiscretion with your mail addresses) I will just tell here, and hope that everyone reads my blog instead.

The building is almost finished, but it was my turn for the interior refurb, and all hellfire and brimstone was let loose! Basically, they took my house apart, I mean I had to pack as if I was moving out. My cheery last blog was me thinking it was nearly over, but alas..it got worse! They really should have moved us out, it has been much more stressful than moving house. Imagine wet wiping every single book and putting it back on the shelf, one at a time..that took 5 whole nights.

Oh isn’t this boring to read!

I must say…the boudoir isn’t 100% just yet, but definately visitor worthy and just as comfy as before.

I have used some of the time to concoct some good fun ideas for future arty pics for my site too, and I’m raring to get going on that.

As my house has had refurb…my site should too, so keep watching!
